SOLIHULL SUPERSTARS
NEEDS YOU

Following on from the huge success of last year’s Endurance GB Riding Club Team event, once again there is a succession of qualifying events around the country for riders who wish to be part of their local RC Team. SOLIHULL SUPERSTARS won best turned out and came 6th out of 11 teams so we hope to do even better this year.

The 2011 National Final was held at The College Ride, The College Equestrian Centre, Bedfordshire on Sunday 18th September over a distance of 33km. REPORT

Please note you do not need to own an Arab for this competition as any breed of horse of reasonable fitness can easily do 30 to 35km. Training, advice, guidance and support will be made available so even if you know nothing about Endurance Riding you will soon learn. We look forward to hearing from you soon !

BOUNDARY RIDE
For Health & Safety reasons to avoid conflicts with the cross-country track the hire course fields are roped off and out of bounds, as are farmed fields except for designated tracks.
Already some irresponsible and inconsiderate riders have cut the ropes and strayed onto the reserved areas which is dangerous as well as selfish and anti-social, and if repeated those responsible will be reprimanded and charged for reinstatement of any damage caused and the Boundary Ride will be withdrawn. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED

Lost Property returned to the Office
We often find all kinds of leftovers after an event usually with no means of identifying the owner - gloves, hats, jackets, horseshoes, whips and occasionally even purses, cameras & mobile phones. If you are missing something and have no idea where you might have lost it, please call the office and ask - they also keep a list of lost items in case they turn up !

HORSE PASSPORT LAW
If you own a horse or are its main keeper you are responsible for ensuring it is correctly identified, but only the owner can apply for a passport. The horse owner or keeper should make sure its passport is available for inspection AT ALL TIMES. You don’t need to have the passport on hand when the horse is stabled, grazing or being moved on foot, but if you are asked for the passport at such times you must show it to the Inspector WITHIN 3 HOURS and failure to comply could incur a fine of up to £5,000 per horse. FREEZEMARK & MICROCHIP INITIATIVE
To enable NED to help trace horses stolen or missing
on loan it is now mandatory for equines to be
microchipped at first registration, and you can add freezemark or microchip numbers for your own already-registered horses. Instructions

stolen developed in collaboration with HorseWatch.
