AREA 5 ONE DAY EVENT 4 JULY 2010

Solihull Members and Teams had a very successful day on Sunday in the Area 5 Horse Trials qualifier.

In the Novice section the team were fantastic and won, so have qualified for the National Champs at Aston-le-Walls in August. Special congratulations to Sarah Robinson on Ruby Tuesday individual 4^th and to Mel Golby on Moira's Gold individual 7^th, very ably supported in the team by Rebecca Snell on Montana Bay and Donna West on HIO Lookswell.

In the Intermediate section Cath Newnham on The Student Prince finished 6^th and Ellie Bradsell on William Pembroke finished 10^th - a very creditable result.

Katharine Balkwill and Sarah Butler competed in the Open section and Sarah came individual 6^th, and 4^th overall in the Qualifier so will also be going to the Nationals.

The whole event was very well organised and we had a super time - a big thank you to everybody involved in the running of such a marathon. We really appreciate how much work is necessary to hold this competition at Solihull, as well as the help and support we received from our families and friends on the day.
